Bring on the wasabi!
     These St. Hedwig anglers chartered a long-range tuna trip out of Deep Sea Headquarters and returned Thursday, Nov. 29, with yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna and dorado. They were fishing on the New Pelican with Captains John Brennan and Keith Banks.

North jetty goods
     Alice Hanzel of Port Aransas reaped the bounty of the north jetty on Thursday, Nov. 29. Fishing aboard her boat, The Misfit, she reeled in a limit of sheepshead, some redfish and trout, and the highlight of the day, a tarpon that she released. She was fishing with David Hill and Roy Frette on the north side of the north jetty.

FISHING REPORT
Blue marlin is surprise catch amid fall species
      Fish are plentiful with the cooler temperatures and since the north wind died, but anglers are in short supply this week. Offshore Adventures hasn't been getting the boats out much between weather and lack of anglers. But when they did go out they returned with a lot of shark and kingfish. Bays are producing good catches of black drum, redfish and sheepshead.
