The 67-39 victory over the Aransas Pass Lady Panthers on Nov. 19 represented the Port Aransas High School Lady Marlins' "most complete performance of the season," said Randy Henderson, coach of the Lady Marlins.

The Lady Marlins scored a whopping 13 3-point shots. They also sank every single one of their eight free throws, which Henderson said was a first, as far as he could remember, in his tenure of more than four years as coach of the Lady Marlins.

"All 10 girls did a tremendous job, all night," Henderson said. "If we can duplicate or improve this type of performance, we will be tough to beat in district and the playoffs."

Standouts for the Lady Marlins in the game against Aransas Pass included Elaine Franco, with four steals, six assists and 10 rebounds; Lia Phillips, with four assists; and Hannah Jones, with eight rebounds.
