Wanda E. Miles died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007. She was the mother of Glenda Balentine and stepmother of Clark Miles, both of Port Aransas.

Miles was born in Goldthwaite on June 5, 1931. She graduated from Corpus Christi High School and attended Del Mar College. She retired from the title insurance industry after more than 40 years of service in the Corpus Christi area.

Miles was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Miles; her parents, Joe Everett Evans and Evelyn Berry (Evans) Elder; her brother, Wendell Evans; and her sister, Gladys Ganson.

Survivors include three more children; a son, Ray (Pam) Balentine of Rockport; a stepson, Chuck Miles of Corpus Christi; a stepdaughter, Patti McCann (Charlie) of Mineral, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of her life will be held by her family.
