Today is deadline to apply for three city board positions

The City of Port Aransas is looking for a few good people - and in a hurry.

Specifically, the terms of three regular members and the alternate member of the city's library board are expiring as well as three regular airport advisory board and one alternate airport board members' terms.

Pat Garrett at city hall said at press time only two library board member applications have been received. Two applications have also come in for the airport board position, she said.

Library board members are required to be qualified voters in the city. Airport board members must not have an interest in any air-related business and must be qualified Port Aransas voters or property owners. Members of both boards serve twoyear terms.

Deadline for turning in applications at city hall, 710 W. Ave. A, is today, Thursday, Oct. 11, at 5 p.m.
