PROJECT GRADUATION MEETING SET
Parents and guardians of junior and senior students at Port Aransas High School are urged to attend the first meeting to be held by organizers of Project Graduation. It will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the PAHS administration building meeting room, 100 S. Station St. Project Graduation is a lock-in party designed to promote chemical-free entertainment for graduating seniors, their guests and juniors. The lock-in begins after graduation exercises and lasts until 5 a.m. The evening includes games, music, refreshments, door prizes and gifts. Leaders and followers are needed to help with the event that is a graduation gift from the parents and community to the seniors. Fundraisers are held throughout the school year for prize money and to fund the food and entertainment for the night. Adult involvement is the key to a making the event a success, said one organizer. The more people who pitch in to help, the less everyone has to do, she added. |
