Break out the pots; cook-offs for scholarships slated this weekend

The two-day event that continues through Saturday, Oct. 6, is a fundraiser to benefit the Jody McCormick Scholarship Fund for graduating Port Aransas High School seniors. Mc- Cormick was the owner of Sharkey's Beach Club before his death on Nov. 16, 2006.
The event will be held at Sharkey's, 2600 State Hwy. 361.
