Can Patterson sell Christmas?
      Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson is on the verge of being tagged as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Or, more accurately, The Grinch who sold the state-owned Christmas Mountains in West Texas to wealthy investors.

Looking from the outside in
      Port Aransas has changed - a lot - since we made it our fulltime home in May of 1983. I loved it then and I love it now, even with the changes. Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to keep Port Aransas what it was in the 1950s, or '60s or '70s, or even the '80s, we forget that some things never change.

      You may not have heard the latest, but bunches of American guys are marrying Russian gals and bringing them back to the Old USA. The guys say that they can't find the "loves of their lives" here in the old USA, and they hear that the Russian gals are more than good looking - and like to meet American guys who can afford roundtrips to Russia.
