Fishing in a boat in a secret location in the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, the trio used menhaden to lure the redfish (two oversized that were tagged) and a small shark. Freudensprung, who caught the biggest redfish, plans to have it mounted.

Redfish run is on; bull red count high
      Some docks reported fewer offshore trips with all the rain over the weekend, but others claimed good catches last week. Bay fishing has been fruitful with lots of redfish, many bull reds caught.

      Port Aransas Guide, Gary Cooper, left, took these fishermen, Mike Broussard, Brooks Broussard and Lyndall Couch all of Levelland, fishing on Thursday, Sept. 27. The group landed 10 redfish and 15 black drum fishing in Corpus Christi Bay. They hung their catch at Woody's Sports Center.
