Shannon is a painter born and raised in Corpus Christi. She studied watercolor with local teachers and internationally known artists. She served as chairperson of ArtFest and the first Symphony-Art Center Fundraiser, both in Corpus Christi, and is pursuing a Master of Studio Arts degree at Texas A&M University in oil painting.

Maurer was born and raised in an agricultural setting in southern Wisconsin, now lives in Flour Bluff, and has been involved in art since childhood. Mildly reclusive, she is happiest working with her art dog, Ruby, overseeing her sculpting. The vizsla is her muse and companion. Hass grew up in Corpus Christi. She is a mostly self-taught sculptor. She is continually seeking new avenues of creation through clay.

Stanley, an award winning and nationally-acclaimed artist, was introduced to the world of art at age five. She is a Signature Member of the Texas Watercolor Society. Recently her work was selected for the 2008 publication "Splash 10 - Passionate Strokes".

Art Center for the Islands is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation serving the islands since 1996.
