Broekstra

Guy Broekstra of Aransas Pass died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at his home. He was 71 and the father of Eileen Hoffman of Port Aransas.

Broekstra was born Oct. 7, 1935, in Chicago, Ill. to Richard and Helen Broekstra.

Other survivors include his wife of 46 years, Alice of Aransas Pass; three sons, Tom Broekstra and Pete (Susi) Broekstra, all of Los Lunas, N.M. and Mark (Marva) Broekstra of Irving; another daughter, Beth (Noah) Williford of South Vienna, Ohio; a brother, Robert Broekstra of Mokena, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date.
