Add a little tennis to your Labor Day holiday plans.

Head for the school courts on Station Street on Saturday morning, Sept. 1, for a round robin mixed doubles tennis tournament.

Entry fee is a can of new tennis balls - players don't even need a partner.

Visitors are especially welcome to join residents for the monthly "just for fun" tournament.

Players should meet at the courts on Station Street between Beach Street and Avenue C at 7:45 a.m. to be included in the bracket. Play begins at 8 a.m. Players should be prepared to play until about noon and should bring water, although there is a water fountain nearby.

Partners are matched randomly, and the format depends upon the number of players participating.

The tournament is sponsored by the Port Aransas Tennis Association and is part of a series of tournaments held on the first Saturday of each month.
