Schweitzer

Georgia Schweitzer died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, in Rockport. She was 87, and formerly of Port Aransas.

GEORGIA SCHWEITZER GEORGIA SCHWEITZER Schweitzer was born Dec. 3, 1919, in Edgeworth, and moved to Port Aransas in 1956. She moved to California in 1965, and returned to Aransas Pass 15 years ago.

She was a member of the Aransas Pass Church of Christ, where her son, Donny D'Herde, is the preacher.

Her parents, Frank Hubnik and Antonia Slovak Hubnik and two brothers, Johnny and Frank Hubnik, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her four sons, Donny (Nancy) D'Herde of Aransas Pass, Bill D'Herde of Aransas Pass, Bobby D'Herde of northeast Maryland and Maurice (Patsy) D'Herde of Waco; two daughters, Louise Tom and Marie (W. O.) Smith, both of Aransas Pass; one brother, Jodie Hubnik of Gilmer; three sisters, Josephine (Marvin) Price of Show Low, Ariz., Marie Hobbs of Carson, Calif. and Tonie (Ted) Vaughn of Hereford; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and six greatgreat grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 1 to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass.
