Blue Wave boat owners will convene in Port Aransas starting tomorrow, Friday, July 27, for the annual fun family fishing tournament.

Registration is Friday, and fishing and awards are Saturday, July 28.

The Civic Center will be headquarters for registration that will be held from 4 to 8 p.m.

Anglers may wet their lines any time after midnight, but must weigh in between 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday at the Fred Rhodes Pavilion at Roberts Point Park. Anglers must be in tournament t-shirts to weigh in.

A group photo of all contestants will be taken at the park at 4:15 p.m.

The festivities move back to the Civic Center for the announcement of photo contest winners followed by the trophy presentation for each eligible species of fish.

Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 p.m.

Men's women's and children's divisions will be fielded for the largest redfish and trout. First place will get $50 and second place gets $25.

First place only ($50 and a tro- phy) will be awarded for the largest flounder, hardhead, kingfish, drum, gafftop, oversize (tagged) redfish, fish caught using artificial bait (lure must be brought to weigh in), and the largest triple crown (trout, redfish and flounder).
