The band will perform at the July Sunset Sounds concert starting at 7 p.m. at the Patsy Jones Amphitheater at Roberts Point Park overlooking the Corpus Christi Ship Channel.
The Perry Wing Band takes you to the steps of the "music capital of the world", Austin. The band carries a regional Texas flavor that conjures up images of honky-tonk bars as well as the blues of the broken-hearted, according to the band's Web site. Their music emphasizes Texas blues, country and rock.
Perry Wing has been playing guitar and writing songs for the past 18 years in Austin. Steve Thompson has been playing guitar on the Austin scene for the past 19 years. Berry Sell has been playing bass guitar on the Austin scene for the past 10 years. Jason Myers has been playing keyboards for the past five years in Austin. Dave Woodring has been playing drums and percussion for 14 years.
The Perry Wing Band's new CD, "Weather The Storm" features fresh new tunes.
Sunset Sounds concerts are held on the second Friday of the month from April through October. Music lovers are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on as well as snacks and beverages.
