RUBY CAMPBELL RUBY CAMPBELL Ruby L. Campbell, 80, of Ottawa. Kan., died at home on Friday, June 8, 2007. She was the mother of Cheryl (Jim Stegall) Campbell of Port Aransas and Alexandria, Va.

Ruby Louise Robison was born in Oswego, Kan., on July 13, 1926, to John Henderson Robison and Anna Lois Livesay Robison. She was third of seven children.

Following high school in Oswego, she attended Ottawa University. While living in Ottawa, she worked at the Ottawa Sign Company, where she met Gardner Campbell. On September 21, 1946, they were married in Oswego.

She worked part-time for Irwin's Gifts in the 1960s before going to work full-time for Buildex, where she worked until her retirement.

Campbell and her husband attended the First Baptist Church of Ottawa for 50 years.

They wintered in Port Aransas for 25 years, where they attended Community Presbyterian Church. They were active members of Keep Port Aransas Beautiful.

Her husband preceded her in death on March 3, 2006. Brothers Roland and Ray Robison and nephew Gary Robison also preceded her in death.

Additional survivors include another daughter, Celeste Campbell of Ottawa; grandsons, Chris (Cathy) Stegall and Brandon (Susan) Stegall of Kansas City, Mo.; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rev. Roscoe (Nina) Robison of Worcester, Mass., Wilford (Marilyn) Robison of Overland Park, Kan. and John (Sally) Robison of Oswego; a sister, Roberta (Clifford) Vance of Oswego; sisters-in-law, Billie George Robison of Parsons, Kan. and Earlene Robison of Edmond, Okla.; many nieces and nephews, including Tom (Deborah) Sink and Debbie (Bob) Phillips of Ottawa.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by memorial donations to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 308, Ottawa, KS 66067, or to the Bea Martin Peck Animal Shelter, 230 West 19" St., Ottawa, KS 66067.
