A Port Aransas Independent School District-wide band concert was held Thursday, May 17, in the Port Aransas High School gymnasium. The Brundrett Middle School sixth-grade band played first. The seventh/eighth grade band followed with music from 'Superman'. The Port Aransas High School band played selections that earned them honors at the University Interscholastic League contest along with music by 'The Doors' and 'The Rolling Stones'. The bands are directed by Jim Cole and assisted by Judy Cole and Sam Marks.
