Free safety vessel checks will be offered to all boaters Saturday, May 26.

As part of National Safe Boating Week, members of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Rockport Flotilla 79 will perform the inspections at the Conn Brown Harbor boat launch ramp in Aransas Pass from 2 to 6 p.m.

A free windshield decal will be given to each boat passing inspection.

Organizers urge all those venturing on the water to be smart and safe boaters.
