Craddick brought it all on himself
      On Monday night, Rep. Byron Cook, R-Corsicana, made a rare personal privilege speech to say that House Speaker Tom Craddick had held that job long enough. Craddick, serving his third term, announced for a fourth after another lieutenant, Jim Keffer, R-Eastland, said he'll run in 2009.

      Big footprints Who is in charge of the destruction of Port Aransas beaches? Whoever it is should walk a mile of the beach during and after heavy equipment has done its destruction. There is no way they could say it is better. In this day of environmental concern, is anyone monitoring the carbon footprints for Port Aransas beaches?
