Chances running out to support Project Graduation's 2007 party
A little more than a week remains to help Project Graduation organizers raise their final funds.
Two fundraisers will continue through Friday, May 25: Curb painting and a silent auction.
Residents may get their house numbers painted on the curbs in front of their homes or on a concrete block that can be placed in front of homes for $20. Members of the Project Graduation committee will verify that the house number provided complies with the city's 9-1-1 address.
To order a house number painted, call Mike or Judith Large at 749-8447 or Marsha Smith at 749-0949.
Checks should be made out to Project Graduation and mailed to P.O. Box 543, Port Aransas, TX 78373.
The second fundraiser is a silent auction of an antique silver tea set. To bid, call Dee Burgess at (361) 790-4390.
Leona Leon of Port Aransas donated the set. Her mother bought it at an estate sale when she was a child,.
By participating in these projects, residents support Project Graduation, an alcohol-free and drug-free lock-in party on graduation night for Port Aransas High School seniors, juniors and their guests.
Parents of seniors and juniors are asked to attend the final meeting Monday, May 21, to help finalize all party plans. It will be held at 6:30 p.m., at the administration building, 100 S. Station St.
