The Port Aransas pilot boat was put to work even before its dedication. Visitors who rode the Colombian Navy Tall Ship ARC Gloria outbound from Corpus Christi transfer from the sailing vessel to the pilot boat on Sunday, May 6, to return to Port Aransas.
