The production will be held Sunday and Monday, May 5 and 6, at the Rialto Theater, 327 Commercial St. in Aransas Pass.

The actors are Jenna and Cas Ward, Taylor Griffin, Aaron Kenigsberg, Grace Flood and Ty, Elliot, Jason and Hazel Morris.

Jenna Ward and Griffin are students at Brundrett Middle School. The rest of the students attend H.G. Olsen Elementary School.

Jenna and Griffin will alternate in roles as birds Gertrude and Mayzie. Ty will alternate with Kenigsberg as The Cat in the Hat and Horton the elephant. Hazel Morris will play a JoJo. Elliott Morris will be Mr. Mayor, Yertle the Turtle and Vlad Vladikoff. Grace Flood will be a Who and a small speck of dust. Cas Ward will be a Who and a baby kangaroo. Cast member Jason Morris will be an apprentice sound technician.

The play is based on the works of Dr. Seuss with music and lyrics by Stephen Flaherty.

Matinees will be presented at 2 p.m. on both days, and a 6 p.m. performance is set for Saturday night. Tickets for the matinees are $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for adults. The price is the same for kids at the night performance, but adult tickets increase to $15.
