The Sundown Roughettes ended the Lady Marlins basketball season in the semi-finals of the state tournament on Thursday morning, March 1.

The Lady Marlins racked up a 10-point lead in the first half, but went cold in the second half.

Sundown heated up in the third and fourth stanzas, and pulled off the 42-27 win. They now to advance to the finals against Lindsay, which beat first-ranked Martin's Mill in overtime, 62-60. The championship game will be played at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin.
