A retirement party has been scheduled for Monsignor Rory Deane on Sunday, March 4. He has served as the parish priest of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Aransas for 14 years.

All friends and former parishioners are invited to celebrate with him from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Civic Center, 710 W. Ave. A.

Mariachi entertainment will be provided by Taqueria San Juan from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Congratulations and a presentation will be given at 2:30 p.m.

Finger foods and soft drinks will be served from 1 to 4 p.m.

Deane also served at Sacred Heart churches in Mathis, in Rockport and in Goliad, at St. Therese in Woodsboro and Christ the King in Corpus Christi.
