Big Beavers stop Marlins
      When the other team has two 6- foot-6 players and four of your starters get into early foul trouble, you know it's going to be a tough night. That was situation the Port Aransas High School Marlins faced when they lost, 55-43, to the Falls City Beavers on Jan. 12.

JV Marlins 1 for 2 in tourney
      The Port Aransas High School Marlins JV team won one of its two games in the JV Marlin Classic Jan. 13. The Marlin victory against Woodsboro was the team's best win all year, according to coach Bryan Flack. "They had great hustle and sports- manship," Flack said. "I am very proud of them.

Young Marlins gain ground against Woodsboro
      If it's not whether you win or lose that counts, but how you play the game, the Brundrett Middle School Marlin teams are winners. Despite losses to Woodsboro on Thursday, Jan. 11, by the seventh and eighth grade teams, both fought hard and showed improvement, according to Coach Brian Flack.
