Miguez
He was born May 1, 1981, in Baton Rouge, La., and had lived in Port Aransas for the past 13 years. Miguez graduated from Port Aransas High School in 2000 and joined the United States Army, serving four years in the 10th Mountain Division Infantry. His service included time spent in Bagrahm, Afghanistan. Following his service, he returned home to Port Aransas and obtained his USCG Captain's license and worked as a deckhand and captain on the Island Queen charter boat. Survivors include his father, Joseph Whitney "T. Joe" Miguez Jr. of Port Aransas; mother and step-father, Debbie and William St. John of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Joseph Whitney Miguez III and Justin Wayne Miguez of Corpus Christi; maternal grandmother, Annabelle Richard of Baton Rouge, La.; an aunt, Vickie Bicknair of Arnaudville, La.; an uncle, Calvin Richard of Prairieville, La.; and a nephew, Joseph Whitney Miguez IV, also of Corpus Christi. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Community Presbyterian Church in Port Aransas, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Rev. Richard Safford will officiate. Interment will be private. |
