Man is jailed in Ipod theft

A Port Aransas man is in the Nueces County Jail after being charged with Class B theft, Port Aransas police say.

Police reports indicate that an Ipod personal music player valued at $400 was taken on Friday, June 16, from a home on Oaks Street. Police identified a suspect in the theft, and Municipal Court judge Duncan Neblett issued a warrant for his arrest.

On Saturday, Sept. 16, police in Katy stopped a car driven by the suspect, Sean Marcus Ritter, 20, and a routine check with the Texas Crime Information Center turned up the warrant for his arrest.

He was returned to Port on Monday, Sept. 18.
