ROY LEE SHANKLIN

Roy Lee Shanklin, 61, a life long resident of Port Aransas, died Thursday,

Sept. 7, 2006, Sept. 7, 2006, at an Aransas Pass hospital.

Shanklin was born Jan. 21, 1945, in Corpus Christi.

He was a commercial fisherman.

Shanklin was preceded in death by his wife, Nora; a brother, Johnny; his mother, Leola; father LeRoy; and stepfather, Jack Shanklin.

Survivors include two daughters, Addie (Aaron) Belcher of Port Aransas and Ava (Alan) Michalik of Austin; three sons, Roy Edward Milina of Port Aransas, Kevin Johnson of Corpus Christi and Jon Cogbill of Houston; and two brothers, Carl Shanklin and Art Shanklin, both of Port Aransas.

Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. at Royal Palms Cemetery in Port Aransas.
