Wettersten
at home in Port at home in Port Aransas on Friday, Sept. 8, 2006. He was born in Fort Worth on Sept. 29, 1925, to Carl and Alice Augusta Wettersten. We t t e r s t e n served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and had a career in marketing research for the General Electric Corporation. Wettersten moved to Port Aransas in 1989. He was a volunteer at the Computer Club, an elder in Community Presbyterian Church and board member at The Pelican Condominiums. His parents and a brother, Phillip Wettersten, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Gerry; three daughters, Nancy of Madison, Wis., Laura (Antonio Jose Garcia) Alcalde of Los Alcazares, Spain and Carol (Stephen) Pomper of Killeen; one granddaughter, Jordan Brown; and a brother, Carl Wettersten. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Community Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to AIM Hospice, P.O.
