JIM MADISON JIM MADISON James Warren "Big Jim" Madison died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at his home

in Port Aransas. in Port Aransas. He was 58.

Madison was born July 13, 1948, to James H. and Kathryn Alma Boaz Madison. He was raised in Minco, Okla., and graduated from Minco High School.

Madison worked as a police officer in Chickasha, Okla., for four years before working as a senior guard at El Reno Corrections Institute. He retired in 2001 and moved to Port Aransas.

Madison was a member of ABATE (A Brotherhood Aiming Towards Education) bike club. He attended and organized many bike runs, toy drives and fundraisers. He was a motorcycle Santa Claus for many fundraising and awareness events for children. He had organized a Jim Madison Toy Project for Dec. 9, a ride to gather toys for children. The ride will be held as a memorial for him.

His parents preceded him in death.

Madison is survived by a son, James "Kelly" Madison of Owasso, Okla.; two adopted sons, Kevin Fertic of Washington, Okla., and Robert Brown of Oologah, Okla.; and four grandchildren, April, Austin, Alexis and Kody Madison, all of Owasso.

Services were held Monday, Dec. 4, in El Reno with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco.
