'Elvis' appearance to benefit charity
"Rockin' around the Christmas tree" is likely at a social, dinner and show set for Monday, Dec. 4.
Christmas with Elvis will provide a little fun for holiday revelers in the name of charity.
Proceeds will benefit the Port Aransas Rotary Club's community and youth projects, including scholarships.
Elvis impersonator Rob Carter, who entertained at the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce mixer in September, will perform at the event. In addition to Elvis tunes, Carter will sing standards by Johnny Cash, Marty Robinson, Roy Orbison, and, of course, holiday favorites.
Christmas with Elvis will be held at Pelican's Landing, beginning with a dinner buffet and social from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The Elvis show will be on from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tickets, at $15 per person, cover the dinner buffet and show, and are available at the chamber of commerce, 403 W. Cotter St.; the Family Center IGA, 416 S. Alister St.; and Bilmore and Sons Hardware, 115 N. Alister St.
