Deike

Franklin Dale Deike of San Antonio died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006. He was the father of Lisa (Jerry) Foley of Port Aransas.

Deike was born July 24, 1939, to Max and Eliese "Liz" Deike.

He married his late wife, Dixie, on Feb. 3, 1958, and they made their home in San Antonio.

Deike and his wife owned and operated an HVAC and refrigeration business for many years. He had a talent for repair and restoration.

Deike was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a passionate collector, spending many hours with his wife adding to their diverse collections. He loved and cared for many needy animals during his lifetime. His happiest moments were spent with his family.

His wife, his father; two sisters, Mordlene Massey and Mary Jane "Schotzie" Barnes; and his infant grandson, Christian Deike preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law; his mother; two sons, Bobby (Kimberly) Deike of Boerne; Max (Elizabeth) Deike of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held today, Thursday, Nov. 30, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Burrow, Jim Barnes, Bryant Harris, Calin and Zachary Deike, Jon Campbell, Cameron Deiser, Raul Perez and Kelly Werts.
