The Art Center for the Islands has been awarded a grant for $1,500. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation will use the money to help with its Youth Spring Break Camp through the expansion of the number of Summer Youth Camps and the Youth Art Fest Booth.

The money will provide camp scholarships to needy youths.

The grant is a gift from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation 's Sam French Fund for the Arts.
