On Friday, Oct. 27, band director Jim Cole was more than just a teacher with 37 years experience in education. He was a tasty treat. The 15 band students who sold the most Christmas-related catalogue items to raise money for the Brundrett Middle School band activity fund were allowed the privilege of making a dessert of Cole during a pep rally in the gym. Seated above plastic garbage bags and wearing a shower cap, Cole was doused with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, strawberry topping and other goodies. He later said he still smelled like chocolate after four showers.
