For the first time in all the years Butch Findley has been organizing teams, he's scrambling for team members in softball and volleyball. As the paper goes to press, Findley still is desperate for warm bodies to become players.

Players are needed for the fall men's and coed softball teams. The coed games will be held on Tuesdays, and the men's games will be held on Thursdays.

The cost per team per season is $250. The fee pays for umpires, dirt and other expenses to run the games for a season. Games are played at the Jerry McDonald Field.

Coed team members are needed for the Port Aransas Volleyball Association. The games will be held on Monday evenings in the H.G. Olsen Elementary School gym.

The cost per team per season is $100.

"Come on people, get off that couch and get some fresh air and exercise," Findley begged.

"You might make new friends or connect with old ones while you burn some calories," he said.
