     It’s hot – and that’s an understatement. So, let’s cool off with thoughts of Christmas. Yeah, I know. It’s hard to get in a December state of mind when the temperature is hovering in the 90s and the heat index is kissing triple digits. Thank God for our Gulf breeze!

Campaign finance laws under scrutiny

      Recently, the House Committee on Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence met jointly with the House Committee on Elections to hear testimony on an interim charge regarding campaign finance. The committees have been charged with studying and reporting on the Texas campaign finance law in judicial races in light of the United decision Caperton v. Massey.
